DRAMA CLUB
In addition to the acquiring of skills at performing arts, Delft Youth also have the privilege to meet successful actors, e.g., Jolene Martin and Jarryd Geduld of the Arendsvlei telenovela. These opportunities provide a solid foundation for our Drama Club learners to make their dreams come true.
The Drama Club in Delft offers learners and young adults the opportunity to develop their skills at performing arts with the guidance of professional actor Matthew (Bobby) Stuurman.
Learners of Delft Secondary Schools auditioned to be selected for Drama Club in 2021. Training sessions are on Saturdays at a particular school in Delft from 09:00 – 15:00. The first performance of the Drama Club’s production called “The FLED” took place in November 2021; and learners were invited to perform at Arts Cape in April 2022 as part of the “Suidooster” Arts festival in Cape Town.
